Gutters, chimneys, snow and ice. Stop damage before it starts.

Most damage to a home starts small: a full gutter, a flue lined with creosote, a clogged dryer vent, ice where people walk. We handle each one before it becomes a repair, and when damage does happen, we document it. Serving homes in Farmington, Avon, Simsbury, West Hartford, Burlington, and Southington.

What's included

Four ways we protect your home

Gutter cleaning and gutter guards

Water goes where it should.

Gutters and downspouts cleared and checked for flow, with guards installed where your home needs them. Clogged gutters send water into fascia, siding, and foundations.

Chimney and dryer vent cleaning

Less buildup, less risk.

Chimney flues and dryer vents deep cleaned, plastic or foil dryer ducts flagged for replacement, and what we find documented in photos. Creosote and lint build up quietly, and both are fire risks when left alone.

Snow removal and ice management

By reservation only.

Once snow reaches two inches, driveways are plowed and walkways cleared, with no call needed. Salt and ice management where your plan includes it, with pet-friendly ice melt for homes with pets.

Damage documentation

Dated photos, written notes.

Storm, water, and tree damage recorded for your insurance company, and work a past contractor left unfinished or done wrong documented for your claim. The record is yours to keep.

We protect before we repair. Prevention comes first.

Questions about protecting your home

How often should gutters be cleaned?

Twice a year for most homes: in late fall after the leaves are down, and again in spring. Homes with heavy tree cover or pines often need more. Your written plan sets the schedule for your property.

How often should a dryer vent be cleaned?

Once a year, according to the National Fire Protection Association, and sooner if clothes take longer to dry than they used to. The duct should be rigid or flexible metal. Plastic and thin foil ducts trap lint and kink or crush easily.

How often should a chimney be cleaned?

The National Fire Protection Association calls for chimneys to be inspected at least once a year, and the Chimney Safety Institute of America recommends sweeping once soot and creosote reach an eighth of an inch. For most homes that burn wood regularly, that usually means a cleaning every year before the heating season.

How does snow removal work?

By reservation only. Storms are billed by the certified snowfall total, or the season is paid in full. Your reservation holds your place on the route and is credited in full toward your storm charges. Reserved and existing clients come first, and reservations are limited.

Do you handle my insurance claim?

No. The claim is between you and your insurance company, and negotiating it for you is licensed work in Connecticut. We document the damage so you have a clear record to give them.

Can you help if a past contractor left bad work?

Yes. We document what was done, photograph what's wrong, and write an estimate of what it costs to correct. That's the evidence you need in court, and with Connecticut's Home Improvement Guaranty Fund, which can reimburse homeowners up to $25,000 once they have a court judgment against a registered contractor. You file the claim. There's a deposit for the documentation, credited in full toward the repair when we do the work.
